About {Me}

Welcome to my blog!  I’m excited for you to follow me through my journey of running and life!

I love running! I know it sounds crazy but I'm actually addicted to running. Running really has changed my life. I've learned so much about myself and about life because of running. I take pride in competing against myself to push through the “limits” I’ve always feared.

My running focus shifted from a hobby to running with a purpose when I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis almost two years ago. MS often attacks legs, which makes it difficult for the MSer (as we refer to ourselves) to walk or run. So now I enjoy the journey that my legs take me, and use them as an opportunity to run for those who can't.

Part of that journey was running {and finishing!} the New York City Marathon for the National MS Society which was the most rewarding event of my life! Throughout my journey I raised over $7,000 for MS research and never lost sight of the reason why I was running - for those who can't. I know someday I won't be able to run, whether it's because of MS or old age, but I intend to make the most of my life and my running journey. Click here to read more about my running story!

Running has recently taken a turn because I have a new little running buddy on board!

Our little baby boy is due October 2015!

In addition to my sweet baby, I’ve been married for three years to the absolute love of my life! Luke, or "The Hubs" as he's referred to in the blog, accepts me for all that I am, and pushes me to be all that I strive to be.

I have the best, most supportive family beyond my hopes and dreams...

So that's me in a nutshell: a MSer turned marathon turned soon-to-be mom!
